Malaga is a charming city with culture, history and nice hotels

Malaga is located in the southern region Andalusia and is locally known as the capital of Costa del Sol. The city has almost 1 mio. inhabitants. The region of Andalusia is located close to the Mediterranean Sea, with a breathtaking coastline of 160 km., which offers a wealth of beautiful beaches and marinas. For many years Malaga have been in the shadow of the capital of Andalusia - Seville.

But in recent years, the interesting city have gained more attention, thanks to the different museums, the beautiful pedestrian streets, innovative restaurants and trendy hotels which often have "rooftop" terraces with pool, bars, a great view of the city and the amazing turquoise blue Mediterranean sea.

Malaga was the birthplace of the famous painter Pablo Picasso, and several of his paintings can be enjoyed at the city´s Picasso museum, including several rare paintings donated to the museum by Picasso's family. In addition, Malaga offers many interesting sights as the Alcatraz fortress and the city´s Easter week, attracts many international tourists each year. Just outside of Malaga is the town of Marbella, which is Europe's uncrowned golf capital, and the town of Ronda is one of the most famous white villages.

Here lies the bullfighting area "La Maestranza". It is the oldest and one of the most beautiful arenas in all of Spain. Here you can sit in Ernest Hemingway´s private loge and feel the inspiration that has been the basis for two of his books.
