On this day tour you get to see two of the most spectacular gardens in Spain: Marimurtra in Blanes and Cap Roig in Portlligat north of Barcelona.
The area north of Barcelona is one of the most beautiful in Spain. Here, close to France's border, you find excellent conditions for gardening and landscaping and two beautiful botanical gardens: Cap Roig and Marimurtra. Both gardens have gorgeous location close to the Mediterranean, and it is possible to enjoy the ocean views from both Cap Roig and Marimurtra.
The trip starts with pickup at the group's hotel and then goes to Blanes, where we visit the beautiful Marimurtra garden. Marumurtra is a botanical garden, designed by German businessman Carl Faust (Hadamar, Germany 1874-Blanes 1952) around 1920. The garden has more than 4,000 different plants and flowers. There is particular focus on South African and Central American plants but also plants from Catalonia and the rest of Spain. The garden has a size of around 4 acres and is located right next to the sea.
Then go on the Costa Brava, where you can have a nice lunch in the charming town of Calella de Palafrugell - one of the most beautiful in Spain. After a good lunch overlooking the sea, visit the other garden: Cap Roig.
The garden Cap Roig was founded by the colonel Nicolai Voevodsky and the Brittish lady Dorothy Webster. There are more than 1,000 different plant species in the garden over a total area of 17 hectares. The garden counts a spring garden, a cactus garden and a geranium garden. On the grounds of the garden you will also find the Cap Roig Castle, a neo-Gothic building from the beginning of the 20th century, planned by Nicolai Voevodsky and Dorothy Webster.
We organize company tours and incentives to Barcelona, Madrid, Andalucía, The Balearic Islands and the Basque Country for corporate groups of minimum 8 people .
