The Great Mosque of Cordoba is one of the most important religious buildings in the world and one of the most beautiful examples of Muslim art in Spain. The medieval Islamic Mosque was built in 785 by the Muslim emir Abdul Rahman I on the site of the ancient Visigoth church and later converted into a Catholic Christian Cathedral in 1236. More than 850 columns of jasper, onyx, marble and granite stand in the Mosque and reflect the importance of the city in the Middle Ages.

Hereafter, visit the Alcázar Fortress, one of the primary residences of Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon in the 15th Century, and walk on the Roman bridge and see the gate built by Juluis Caesar. The tour ends with a visit the Calahorra Tower and the Plaza de la Corredera.
