On this tour you will explore one of the most impressive historic monuments in Spain: Alhambra, along with the old Arab quarter and the diversity of the Sacramonte Quarter in the beautiful city of Granada.
We start our tour at The Alhambra, built in the 13th and 14th century. It is a stunning castle and fortress, and one of Spain's major tourist attractions. The Alhambra is the country's best example of Arab-Islamic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Alhambra palace you will see Nasrid Palaces, where the Emirs (Kings) lived during the the Emirate of Granada. Also you will visit the fascinating royal garden, Generalife, the summer palace for the Emirs.
After admiring the Alhambra complex, we carry on to the Albayzin Quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. Albayzín has been built on a hill, and from here you will get beautiful views of the Alhambra. Also, you will be able to see the remains of an Arab Bath and a Moorish Mosque, that now is the Church of San Salvador. Also, you will find several Arab water tanks, which were popular during the Christian Period.
One of the oldest parts of the Albayzín was built in the 11th Century, and in the narrow streets you will find many interesting restaurants. Next to the San Nicolás church, we will have lunch at one of Albayzíns best restaurants.
After lunch, we will see Sacramonte and the Valparaiso valley , an area with diverse geography, mountain views, meadows and rivers. Through history, Arabs, Jews, Spaniards and gypsies have lived here in caves, with an almost constant temperature all year round. The River Darro cuts through the valley.
We organize company tours and incentives to Barcelona, Madrid, Andalucía, The Balearic Islands and the Basque Country for corporate groups of minimum 8 people .
