Palma de Mallorca is located in the archipelago of the Balearic Islands, one of the most visited tourist destinations on the island of Mallorca. The city has a wide range of services to offer to the visitors: from Michelin starred restaurants with stunning views to a large number of hotels that will make the delight of tourists.

Do not forget to visit the historical monuments in Gothic style: the Cathedral and the Bellver Castle.

The Cathedral of Mallorca

​​The Cathedral of Santa Maria de Palma de Mallorca, also known as La Seu, is one of the largest remains of Gothic style that prevailed on the island in the 13th to the 16th century. The main feature of the monument is its rose window, which is one of the largest preserved in Europe.

the construction of the cathedral has gone through several stages since its inception in 1229, including a reform by architect Antonio Gaudi in the early twentieth century.

Convent of San Francisco & the Church of Santa Eulalia

These two monuments are the oldest buildings in Palma de Mallorca. The Convent of San Francisco is a basilica and its construction began in the thirteenth century and the exterior is a Baroque façade. It is also known for being the burial place of the writer and missionary Ramon Lllull.

The church of Santa Eulalia was the place where King James II was crowned in 1276 under the Kingdom of Mallorca. This building is Gothic and is noted for its scenery and medieval altarpieces.

The Bellver Castle

This impressive building belongs is Gothic in style and is located on a hill just a few kilometers from the center of Palma. Its construction began in the fourteenth century by King Jaume II and offers astonishing views over the capital. Currently, you can visit the building that contains the History Museum of the City of Palma, opened in 1976.

The Royal Palace La Almudaina

The Royal Palace "La Almudaina" dates from the early fourteenth century and its construction began under the reign of Jaume II in what had been a Muslim building. It can be visited throughout the year and its key element is the Gothic chapel of Santa Anna.

The Es Baluard Museum

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma de Mallorca "Es Baluard" was inaugurated in 2004 and features works of the great Spanish painter Pablo Picasso. It is located in the bay of the city and has both permanent and temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists.
